Island resident Jim McLoughlin was honored in the Queen’s Baton relay as he carried the Commonwealth symbol through part of Argyll.
Jim had been put forward because of his 30 years of volunteering as a coach at Queen’s Park Amateur Athletics Club in Glasgow and more recently for his voluntary work in Kilchattan Primary School where he teaches the youngsters in PE.
