It was with great sadness that all who knew Betty Paton heard of her passing, 17th December.  Betty and Ian made their home at Maggie Thomson’s Cottage in the 1990s and played a very active part in the life of the community; even after they moved away they remained in touch with friends and neighbours and they retained a link with the island through the family property, Glebe Cottage.  Betty had been pre-deceased by Ian, but still visited Colonsay when she could and will be sadly missed by her wide circle of friends.  Her funeral is to be on January 2nd and a wreath is to be laid on behalf of her old friends in Colonsay.
