The Colonsay Gathering is to be held at Crianlarich Hotel on the weekend of 7th February 2015 – this is a great chance for friends old and new to gather off-island and let their hair down, whilst raising vital funds for the work of the Colonsay Community Development Company. Please make a wee note in your diary now – full details from CCDC or Christa Byrne.
Climbing the MacPhees: a splendid chance to see the whole island in one connected walk, starting and finishing below the highwater mark and including the summits of all 22 hills in excess of 300ft. The total distance is about 21 miles, but you do not have to do more than you wish – just get people to sponsor you for (say) £1 per MacPhee that you bag, all proceeds towards the Kilchattan Primary School Fund for Educational Travel. Revised date is Monday May 4th 2015, a holiday – do make a note and do join in, it is great fun to look back on and an excellent cause. Meet at An Crosan at 9.00am, hope to finish at the Strand about 6.00pm.
