The Community Garden has gone from strength to strength with the grass now resembling a respectable lawn and the flower beds establishing themselves. With the threat of westerly storms just round the corner, the garden is now bedded down for the winter with only an extra layer of seaweed mulch as a final task.
Looking forward to the next growing season and following the great success of this summer’s Big Tea there are plans to hold a similar event this coming summer. The date is chosen …… Sunday 19th July 2015……. so hopefully the sun will again shine for us. So, if any of you gardeners are taking cuttings or propagating or planning your seed purchases for next year, do put a couple of plants aside for the Community Garden and bring them along when you come to the Big Tea in July where they will be gratefully received.
