The students were industriously at work in the kitchen of Colonsay House this week, making special cakes for Hallowe’en.  Rumour has it that they may be planning to surprise us all with a Nativity Play, the first for many years – casting should be fun.  The school is very “green” – in addition to directing litter-picking operations on the schoolbus, they recycle regularly, have a compost-bin and kitchen garden and even eat eggs from their own smallholding.  Unhappily one of the hens has gone missing, so one of the children will presumably go hungry…
